You need a minimum of six hours of training to acquire basic driving skills. Since driving relies on muscle memory, the time required varies for each person. We offer different training
packages, allowing you to choose the one that best suits your needs.

The number of hours or sessions required to confidently drive and be ready for a driving test
depends on factors such as your learning speed, previous experience, and practice frequency. Here’s a general guideline:

Recommended Practice Hours (for Teens) The MN DMV requires teen drivers to complete 50 hours of supervised driving, including night driving, before taking the test. With a
six-hour professional training certification, this requirement is reduced.

Professional Driving Lessons If you’re taking driving lessons, 10–20 sessions (each lasting 1
to 1.5 hours
) with an instructor are typically sufficient for most beginners.

Practice Consistency Practicing 3–5 times a week for 1–2 hours can help build confidence
more quickly. It’s important to focus on various driving environments, including highways, parking lots, traffic conditions, and night driving.

  1. Stay Calm – Avoid reacting aggressively.
  2. Maintain Speed – Drive at a safe, steady pace.
  3. Let Them Pass – Change lanes or pull over if safe.
  4. Increase Following Distance – Create more space ahead for safety.
  5. Avoid Braking Suddenly – This can escalate the situation.
  6. Use Signals Clearly – Indicate turns or lane changes in advance.
  7. Do Not Engage – Ignore rude gestures or honking.
  8. Seek Help if Needed – If threatened, drive to a public place or call authorities.
  1. Seat Position – Adjust the seat so your feet comfortably reach the pedals with a slight bend in the knees.
  2. Seat Height – Ensure a clear view over the dashboard and mirrors. Raise or lower the seat if needed.
  3. Backrest Angle – Keep the backrest at about a 100–110° angle for support and comfort.
  4. Steering Wheel – Position it so your wrists rest on top when arms are extended. Keep at least 10 inches from the airbag.
  5. Headrest – Align the top with your ears and keep it close to your head to prevent whiplash.
  6. Mirrors – Adjust side and rearview mirrors for a clear, wide view of traffic.

You can get proper driving training at a licensed and certified driving school by the DMV. Ensure the instructors are professional, and check reviews before enrolling.
